Creative Direction
We'll define the sound, feeling, and references behind your song, so we have a clear sonic direction from the start.
Music production, mixing, and mastering for alt-pop artists who want to clarify their sound, strengthen their songs, and finish music they genuinely believe in.
A fully collaborative partnership, with every part working together around your song.
We'll define the sound, feeling, and references behind your song, so we have a clear sonic direction from the start.
I'll develop the instrumentation, structure, grooves, and fine details that turn your idea into a fully realized record.
From synths and organic textures to experimental ear candy, I'll build a sonic world that feels distinctive to your music.
We’ll shape your vocal performances and production so they sit naturally within the track and deliver the emotion the song needs.
I’ll mix the finished production for clarity, impact, depth, and cohesion while preserving the character we built into the record.
Your final mix will be mastered for a polished, release-ready result that translates across different listening systems.
We'll talk through your song, references you connect with, influences, and the feeling you're chasing so I can understand the direction before we dive into production.
We'll develop the production around your vision, shaping the arrangement, sounds, textures, and overall direction together so you're involved throughout the creative process.
Once the production feels right, I'll take care of the final details, mix, and master, so you walk away with a finished song ready to release.
Hey, I’m Dan Oliveri, a producer and audio engineer based in Los Angeles. I’ve been making music for the last decade, and I work with alt-pop artists to develop their songs into finished records without losing the personality that made the idea exciting in the first place.
My process starts with listening. I want to know what you’re hearing in your head, what you love about your references, what you want the song to feel like, and what isn’t working yet.
From there, we build together. Sometimes that means developing everything from scratch, starting with a voice memo, or just making sure the arrangement is right and putting the finishing touches.
My own creative background is rooted in alternative pop, electronic music, psychedelic textures, synth-driven production, and experimental sound design. That gives me a broad palette to pull from, but the goal isn’t to make every artist sound like me. It’s to use those tools to help make their own musical identity stronger.
I stay involved through production, mixing, and mastering, so you don’t have to piece together several different people just to get the song finished.
Ultimately, I want you to leave with something that still feels unmistakably yours, just more fully realized than when you brought it in.
If you have a song you think we could bring to life together, reach out and tell me what you’re working on.
I primarily work with alt-pop and adjacent artists, but am also open to working with artists blending electronic, indie pop, psychedelic, dream pop, alt-R&B, funk, neo-soul, and other left-of-center influences. The biggest factor is whether I connect with the music and feel confident that I can help strengthen the artist’s vision.
You do not need a finished demo. You can come in with anything from a voice memo, chords, lyrics, references, or a rough production. What matters most is that you have a direction you care about and are open to developing the song collaboratively.
Very involved. I want your feedback throughout the process so the song develops around your vision rather than disappearing into a black box and coming back sounding like something you never asked for.
Revisions are part of the process and are meant for refining the direction we have already established together. If the song needs a major creative reset or a completely new direction, we will talk through what that means for the scope before moving forward.
Most projects are completed within roughly three to four weeks, depending on the song, feedback turnaround, and scheduling. If either of us needs more time for a legitimate reason, we can communicate and adjust accordingly.
Yes. You keep ownership of your underlying song and songwriting unless we have genuinely written part of the song together. Any master participation, if applicable, is agreed on upfront and depends on the specific project and financial arrangement.
I specialize in alt-pop and adjacent styles, but I’m open to working outside my usual lane when I connect with the music and feel confident I can bring something valuable to it. If I don’t think I’m the right producer for what you’re trying to create, I’ll be upfront about that before we start.
Reach out and send me what you are working on, even if it is unfinished. I’ll listen, learn what you are trying to create, and we can figure out whether I am the right producer for the song and what the best next step looks like.
